COPPA
No personal information collected from students under 13 without verifiable parental consent. PIN-based onboarding by design — no email or phone required from kids.
FERPA
Schools/districts retain ownership of all educational records. We operate as a school official under the FERPA school-official exception. No advertising, marketing, or profiling.
Sub-processors
Stripe (payments — pilots are free, so no payment data is processed) and Resend (transactional email only). No SendGrid, Mailgun, Mailchimp, or Postmark in our stack.
Data retention
PIN tokens expire after 30 days. Student progress data is purged on district request within 30 days. No third-party data sales — ever.
